Moana 2 Box Office Collection Day 5 (India): Moana 2, Disney's most recent animated blockbuster, is doing surprisingly well in India. Following a respectable start, the Hollywood animated follow-up had a strong first weekend at theatres. Moana-Maui's Moana 2 had its world premiere on November 29, 2024, amid a fair amount of excitement. The eagerly awaited follow-up to the 2016 Hollywood blockbuster, Moana 2 has outperformed its first day's receipts in India.

Moana 2, the animated musical adventure made a respectable Rs 2.6 crore at the Indian box office when it debuted, according to Sacnilk. Even while the movie saw a significant decline on Monday, its fourth day, the Disney movie recovered somewhat on Tuesday, with about Rs 1.04 crore in all languages. In India, sales of Moana 2 increased by 9.47%. The animated movie had an overall English occupancy rate of 6.01% on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

Day 6 (1st Wednesday) early estimates: Rs 0.19 crore

In the meantime, the opening weekend earnings of Moana 2 have already outperformed those of another Disney movie, 'Inside Out 2,' in India. For the unversed, Inside Out 2 made about 6.85 crore in its first weekend of release in India on June 14, 2024.

Moana 2 highlights Moana's journey to the distant oceans of Oceania. The Disney movie is co-directed by Jason Hand, David Derrick Jr., and Dana Ledoux Miller. Dwane Johnson voiced Maui, the demi-god, while Auliʻi Cravalho returned to voice Moana in the sequel of the 2016 film.
According to rumours, the synopsis for Moana 2 read, "After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she's ever faced (sic)."
