Monali Thakur Health Scare: Renowned singer Monali Thakur recently experienced a health scare during a live performance at the Dinhata Festival in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, on the evening of January 21. As she took to the stage, Monali Thakur struggled to breathe, forcing her to abruptly halt her performance midway. A video of the incident, which quickly went viral on Facebook, shows the singer apologising profusely to the audience as she battled her illness.
Despite her evident discomfort, Monali Thakur's concern for her fans was palpable as she expressed her regret for being unable to continue with the show. In the video, her weak voice can be heard saying, "I sincerely apologise to you all. I am very sick today... The show was on the verge of getting cancelled."
According to a report in News18, Monali Thakur was first rushed to the Dinhata Sub-District Hospital, later which she was transported to a nearby hospital. The singer in currently undergoing treatment in Cooch Behar.
In December 2024, Monali Thakur's concert in Varanasi took an unexpected turn when she abruptly ended her performance midway and left the venue, citing "security reasons" as the justification for her sudden departure. However, as the situation unfolded, it became clear that Thakur's dissatisfaction with the event's organisation and inadequate infrastructure were the primary reasons behind her decision to cut short her performance.
According to a report in Dalimss_news, the controversy surrounding Thakur's departure was further exacerbated by allegations from media outlets, sponsors, and event organizers that the singer had kept them waiting at her hotel for over four hours, refusing to engage with anyone, including the press. Frustrated by her unresponsiveness, the local media reportedly left without securing an interview or even a brief meeting.
