Moonbin's Funeral Procession And Burial Site To Not Be Disclosed; Agency Fantagio Releases Official Statement

K-pop star and ASTRO member Moonbin passed away on April 19 and his untimely demise was a shock for his fans. ASTRO's agency Fantagio has released an official statement regarding Moonbin's funeral and revealed that they won't disclose Moonbin's funeral procession and burial site due to his family's request.

The statement reads, "We won't be disclosing Moonbin's funeral procession and burial site according to the request of his family. We ask for your generous understanding, so the ASTRO members and bereaved family can spend their last moments with him."

Meanwhile, the cause of Moonbin's demise is not confirmed yet but it has been reported that he passed away by suicide. The Seoul Gangnam Police Station has reported that Moonbin was found dead at his residence at 8:10 pm on April 19 by his manager and the manager immediately called the police.

After Moondin's death, Fantagio released an official statement. "This is Fantagio. First of all, we would like to apologize for the sad, heartbreaking news. On April 19, ASTRO member Moonbin suddenly left us to become a star in the sky. Although we cannot compare our sorrow to the grief that the bereaved families are feeling, losing a beloved son and brother, the ASTRO members, fellow Fantagio artists, company executives, and employees are mourning the deceased in great sadness and shock," it reads.

"It is even more heartbreaking to deliver this news so suddenly to the fans who have supported Moonbin and sent him their love. We are heartbroken because we know the feelings of the deceased, who always loved and thought of his fans more than anyone else," the statement further adds.

"We sincerely ask you to refrain from speculative and malicious reports so that the bereaved families, who are in a state of great sadness and sorrow due to the sudden news, can honor the deceased. According to the wishes of the bereaved families, the funeral will be held as quietly as possible with the family members and company colleagues. Once again, we send our deepest condolences to the deceased," the statement concludes.

Moonbin was a part of the K-pop group ASTRO which includes MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, and Yoon San-ha. Meanwhile, Rocky left the group on February 2023.
