Ahan Shetty, who grew up watching his father Suniel Shetty become forever associated with the iconic patriotic song Sandese Aate Hain from Border (1997), has shared that being part of Border 2 has been an deeply emotional experience for him. He said performing Ghar Kab Aaoge in the sequel has stirred a lifetime of memories and feelings connected to the original film.

As a child, Ahan witnessed firsthand how Sandese Aate Hain resonated across generations, touching people of all ages and coming to symbolise love, longing and sacrifice for the nation. Seeing the powerful impact the song had on audiences left a lasting impression on him.

Now, standing on the sets of Border 2, Ahaan finds himself in a moment he never imagined — stepping into a space once defined by his father’s legacy, while also bringing his own identity, emotions and perspective to the journey.

In an emotional post on his Instagram handle, Ahan Shetty wrote, "They say a picture is worth a thousand words… but I don’t have the words for this. I only know what I feel. I grew up watching my father be part of Sandese Aate Hain. Today, I find myself a part of Ghar Kab Aaoge. Somewhere between then and now, life quietly came full circle. This isn’t about a song or a project, it’s about time, love, and a quiet gratitude I’ll carry it with me forever. A song that carries the unspoken emotions of every soldier, and the silent prayers of every family waiting back home. Ghar Kab Aaoge out now! Jai hind, Jai Bharat."

About Border 2: Border 2 is an upcoming Hindi-language epic action war film, co-written and directed by Anurag Singh. Serving as a sequel to J. P. Dutta’s 1997 classic Border, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J. P. Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. The ensemble cast includes Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahaan Shetty in lead roles, along with Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh and Medha Rana. The much-anticipated film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 23, 2026, aligning with the Republic Day weekend.
