The reality show, renowned for its controversial moments, has consistently grabbed headlines over the past three months. Munawar Faruqui, born on January 28th, 1992, is a 31-year-old stand-up comedian and rapper from Junagarh, Gujarat, who has become one of the most controversial contestants on the Salman Khan hosted show.
Munawar Faruqui, gained prominence for his work in the field of comedy and rap. The standup comedian faced significant challenges in his childhood, including the aftermath of the 2002 communal riots in Gujarat, which led to the destruction of his family's house. Following this, his family relocated to Mumbai. Munawar started working at the age of 13 to support his family after his father fell ill. In addition to the struggles of his early life, Munawar has openly discussed being a survivor of sexual assault during his childhood. He shared this personal experience on Kangana Ranaut's show 'Lock Upp,' revealing that the abuse began at the age of 6 and persisted for about 5 years.
Munawar Faruqui's relationship with Nazila
In recent days, Munawar Faruqui's romantic life has become a focal point of discussion, particularly following the entry of one of his alleged girlfriends, Ayesha Khan, into Bigg Boss 17. The stand-up comedian attempted to clarify his perspective but also admitted to pretending to be in a relationship with Nazila throughout his time on the show.
Munawar Faruqui was in a committed relationship with Nazila Sitashi for an extended period. Nazila, a content creator, relocated to Pune from Oman a few years ago. But, an unexpected revelation took everyone by surprise. Munawar also asserted that both he and Nazila still had feelings for each other and wanted to reconcile. However, in response to the episode, Nazila, Munawar's ex-girlfriend, went live last night and declared that she has moved on from their relationship and wants nothing to do with him. During the live stream, she accused Munawar of being involved with other girls and highlighted a pattern of behaviour in his relationships. Overwhelmed with emotions, she couldn't hold back her tears while discussing Munawar and their past relationship.

Munawar's controversial shows
Munawar Faruqui has frequently found himself embroiled in controversies, particularly for his stand-up comedy routines that have been perceived as communal. In 2021, he faced legal trouble in multiple states and was subjected to various FIRs, primarily on grounds of allegedly hurting religious sentiments. His shows often featured jokes and statements that drew controversy, including remarks about India's Home Minister, Amit Shah. FIRs were filed against him, accusing him of insulting Hindu deities. However, Faruqui consistently denied making such statements.
His controversies have often revolved around his comedy material, which some individuals and groups have found offensive, leading to legal actions and public debates about freedom of expression and censorship
Munawar Faruqui's Bigg Boss controversy
1- Ayesha Khan entered the show as a wildcard contestant, bringing forth substantial allegations against Munawar Faruqui. Among the accusations, she claimed that Munawar was involved in 'two-timing' with her and dating multiple women simultaneously, leading to the end of his marriage with Nazila. Ayesha further disclosed that Munawar had romantic entanglements with four women concurrently. Notably, she accused him of proposing marriage to another woman while still being involved with her and Nazila.
2-Munawar Faruqui displayed aggression during the torture task on Bigg Boss 17. In preparation for their task performance, Vicky Jain and his teammates decided to hide buckets, spices, and other items. Munawar discovered their plan and attempted to retrieve the bucket, triggering a major altercation between Munawar and Vicky. The situation escalated to the point where Munawar was observed grabbing Vicky's neck.
