Music Director-Actor GV Prakash Kumar Announces Divorce With Wife Saindhavi, Says 'The Best Decision...'

Music director and actor GV Prakash Kumar announced separation from his wife Saindhavi. In a joint statement, the duo cited irreconcilable differences after 11 years of marriage. Taking to their social media, Kumar and Saindhavi shared the news with their fans through and requested privacy during this difficult time. For the unversed, recent rumours about their separation and divorce had been circulating.

GV Prakash's post read, "After much reflection, Saindhavi and I have decided to part ways after 11 years of marriage, for the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask the media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during this deeply personal transition. Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time."

Kumar and Saindhavi fell in love during their school days and built a strong relationship. After nearly a decade together, they married in a grand ceremony in 2013. The couple welcomed their baby girl, Avni, in April 2020. Kumar began his career as a music director before branching out into acting and film production, earning several awards along the way.

Saindhavi, a playback singer, has performed songs for GV Prakash and other composers. Last year, she had shared a heartfelt anniversary wish for completing 10 years. Sharing wedding photo, she wrote, "Its been a decade since we got married but Just feels like yesterday . Happy 10th wedding anniversary to the love of my life @gvprakash . Thank you for being an amazing friend, awesome husband and an incredible father to our daughter. Thank you for being the most amazing human being that you are.
