Nagarjuna Akkineni is a name that requires no introduction. The actor has successfully created his mark in the world of Telugu cinema and is known as the ‘King of Tollywood.’ Enjoying an immense fan following, the actor is known as ‘Manmadhudu’ for all girls, and has a huge female fandom. The actor is celebrating his 64th birthday today.
The son of legendary actor Nageswar Rao, Nagarjuna entered the film industry with the film ‘Vikram.’ The actor will soon hit the 100th mark on projects in the film industry and has completed nearly three decades. Love for sports and cars
The actor is an ardent lover of cars and sports, as he is the co-owner of Mumbai Masters along with Sunil Gavaskar, a team from the Indian Badminton League. He also has a share in Mahi Racing Team India along with cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. A car enthusiast, Nagarjuna has a range of luxurious cars which includes a Range Rover Evoque, an Audi A7, BMW 7 Series, and a Mercedes S Class.
Shared screen with his father and son both
Before the death of his father, the actor had a chance to share the screen with Akkineni Nageswar Rao. He also shared screen with his son Naga Chaitanya, as the trio featured in a film called ‘Manam’ in 2014. The film also starred Nagarjuna’s then daughter-in-law Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and his younger son Akhil Akkineni.
Marriage with Lakshmi Daggubati
Nagarjuna married Lakshmi Daggubati, daughter of D Ramanaidu, a prominent filmmaker and sister of Venkatesh Daggubati and Suresh Babu. The duo have a son Naga Chaitanya, who is a renowned actor. However, the couple got divorced in 1990, and Nagarjuna then married actress Amala. The two have a son, Akhil Akkineni.

Entered the film industry as a child actor
‘Vikram’ marked Nagarjuna’s debut film in 1986 alongside Shobhana. However, the actor already saw the silver screen grace as a child in the year 1967 along with his father in the film ‘Sudigundalu.’ After twenty-two years, the actor then officially entered the industry and became a prominent name.
Co-founder of an NGO for dogs

The actor is co-founder of an non-government organization called ‘Blue Cross’ located in Hyderabad. The NGO keenly works for the welfare of animals and also fights for their rights.
