The whole Kapoor family united to celebrate 100 years of legendary actor Raj Kapoor with a special film festival, which showcased his iconic movies. Amid this celebration, veteran actress Neetu Kapoor missed the presence of her husband and late actor Rishi Kapoor. She dropped a heartfelt post on her social media platform expressing her emotions.
Neetu Kapoor took to her Instagram stories and shared a family picture featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. Missing her late husband during the celebration, she wrote, "Missed you Kapoor Saab" and added hashtag #RishiKapoor.
Rishi Kapoor and Neetu got married on January 22, 1980 and have two children, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni and Ranbir Kapoor. The couple was known for their on-screen and off-screen romance back in 70s and 80s. The duo worked together in movies including Rafoo Chakkar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Besharam, Khel Khel Mein and Kabhi Kabhie among many others. Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 67.
100 Years Of Raj Kapoor
Meanwhile, Raj Kapoor would have turned 100 years old today. His on-screen presence, memorable performances and captivating way of storytelling revolutionized Indian cinema. To honour his contributions to the industry, Kapoor family organized a film festival celebrating some of the iconic films of legendary filmmaker Raj Kapoor in Mumbai.
The film festival showcased movies including Aag, Barsaat, Awaara, Shree 420, Jagte Raho, Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai, Sangam, Mera Naam Joker, Bobby and others. The event was graced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Babita Kapoor and others. Not only Kapoor family but other members of the fraternity came together to celebrate Raj Kapoor's legacy. The celebrities including Jeetendra, Vicky Kaushal, Kartik Aaryan, Riteish Deshmukh, Prem Chopra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali marked their presence at the event.
