New OTT and Theatrical Releases On Dussehra Weekend: The festive season is on and entertainment enthusiasts are in for a treat! This Dussehra, OTT platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+Hotstar, and JioCinema have lined up an exciting slate of movies and web series for their users. Meanwhile, cinemas are also buzzing with new releases. Audiences can choose between heading outdoors to catch films like Jigra and Vettaiyan on the big screen or staying indoors to stream exciting titles like Stree 2 and Sarfira.

Stree 2 which hit the theatres on August 15, this year, received praise from fans and critics alike. The movie went on to shatter one after the other record at the box office, becoming the highest grossing Hindi movie of 2024. Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is now available to stream on OTT for free.

Tamil movie Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, is running in theatres. The movie opened to mixed reviews with critics hailing Rajinikath’s performance, while the storyline and pacing received criticism.

Jigra, which has been generating huge buzz due to its unique storyline and the star-studded cast, including Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina, is now available to watch in theatres. Jigra is an intense action thriller that follows Alia Bhatt's character as she embarks on a perilous mission to rescue her brother from prison. Vedang Raina plays the younger sibling in this gripping drama produced by Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions.

Vaazhai is a poignant and powerful film inspired by real-life events, delving into the untold stories of resilience and determination of raw banana plantation workers. At its core, the movie narrates a heart-wrenching tale of lost childhood, shedding light on the trials and tribulations faced by these unsung heroes. The movie is now available to watch on OTT.
