New OTT And Theatrical Releases: Several new movies are gearing up for its OTT and theatrical release. From historical dramas to crime-thrillers, romantic comedy movies, there is something for everyone. The much-awaited Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, is gearing up for its theatrical release. For fans of South cinema, they can watch Retro, starring Suriya and Pooja Hegde and Daveed, starring Antony Varghese, among others. Here is what you can watch on Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and theatres.

Kesari Chapter 2

The movie is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire. According to the book's synopsis, it revolves around the infamous trial that sent shockwaves around the world, exposing the atrocities committed by the British in India. The trial, which was one of the longest in history, marked a defining moment in India's struggle for independence.

Kesari 2 will hit the theatres on April 18, 2025.

Retro

Retro is an upcoming Tamil language romantic action movie, written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Retro is scheduled to be released worldwide on May 1, 2025 in theatres. The movie stars Suriya and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The movie was officially announced in March 2024 under the creative title Suriya 44.

Daveed

The 2025 Indian Malayalam action thriller movie has been written by Deepu Rajeevan and Govind Vishnu and directed by Govind Vishnu. The films stars Antony Varghese, Lijomol Jose, Vijayaraghavan, Saiju Kurup and Kichu Tellus in supporting roles, while it is produced by Alex Abraham, Panorama Studios, Tom Joseph and Century Max John & Mary Productions. The movie is about Ashiq Abu, a middle-aged bouncer who faces a life-changing rivalry with Turkish boxer Sainul Akhmedov.

Daveed will be streaming on Zee5 from April 18, 2025.

The Bhootnii

The Bhootnii is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language horror movie, which stars Mouni Roy and Sanjay Dutt. It has been written and directed by Sidhaant Sachdev and produced by Deepak Mukut & Sanjay Dutt. The movie will hit the theatres on April 18, 2025.

The Last Of Us Season 2

The Last Of Us Season 2 is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series which is based on the video game franchise. The series is set 20 years into a pandemic caused by a mass fungal infection. The first season follows Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey), who travel across the US, while in the second season, they have settled in Jackson, Wyoming, with Joel's brother Tommy (Gabriel Luna) and Ellie's friends Dina (Isabela Merced) and Jesse (Young Mazino).
