10 Most-Watched Indian Movies On Netflix: From period dramas to thrillers and light-hearted comedies, Netflix has become the go-to platform for audiences to enjoy Indian cinema. Recently, Netflix released a list of its top 10 most-watched Indian films, and the variety in genres and languages is truly exciting. 

Check the Indian movies that have captured millions of viewers' attention on Netflix: 

RRR (Hindi) – 43.65 Million Views

RRR is a historical action drama that stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The film is  Directed by S.S. Rajamouli and is set during British rule and follows two revolutionaries who fight against colonial oppression. With its thrilling action, emotional storyline, and stunning visuals, it became a global sensation. The Hindi-dubbed version on Netflix turned out to be the platform’s most-watched Indian movie.

Jawan – 31.90 Million Views

Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan in a double role and is directed by Atlee. The movie is a high-energy action entertainer. It also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in important roles. After its theatre success, Jawan drew massive viewership on Netflix too.

Gangubai Kathiawadi – 29.64 Million Views

This movie by Sanjay Leela Bhansali tells the story of a woman who rises from being a brothel owner to a respected activist. Alia Bhatt plays the lead role and was widely praised for her powerful performance. The movie is based on a real-life figure from Mumbai’s red-light area. 

Laapataa Ladies – 29.50 Million Views

Aamir Khan produced this comedy-drama directed by Kiran Rao. It follows two young brides who are accidentally swapped on a train journey. Set in rural India, the story highlights women’s identity and social challenges with humour. The movie gained popularity through word of mouth. 

Animal – 29.20 Million Views

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor in a dark family drama. It explores the strained relationship between a father and son. Kapoor’s performance received both praise and debate.

Crew – 27.2 Million Views

This comedy movie stars Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti Sanon. With a mix of humour, glamour, and crime, the movie offered a fun watch. It appealed to audiences looking for a light-hearted heist drama. Crew saw surprising success on Netflix after its release.

Maharaja – 27.10 Million Views

Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film, Maharaja, is an emotional thriller. He plays a barber whose mysterious complaint leads to a deeper investigation. The film mixes suspense with strong emotional depth. The movie quickly became a favourite among Netflix viewers.

Fighter – 26.30 Million Views

Fighter is a patriotic action film starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. Directed by Siddharth Anand, it balances drama, romance, and action. It found strong viewership on Netflix post its theatrical run.

Lucky Bhaskar – 26.30 Million Views

Starring Dulquer Salmaan, this is a financial thriller inspired by real events. The film showcases sharp twists, planning, and clever storytelling. Dulquer’s convincing performance drew positive reviews. 

Shaitaan – 24 Million Views

This horror thriller stars Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan. The movie blends supernatural elements with real family emotions. Shaitaan became one of Netflix’s top horror hits in India.
