Aamir Khan's much-awaited movie Sitaare Zameen Par has recently been entrapped in  controversy, after its trailer release. Netizens have claimed that the movie is frame-by-frame copy of the Hollywood film Champions, which is the English remake of the 2018 Spanish movie Campeones. The trailer of Sitaare Zameen Par features Aamir Khan as a basketball coach helping a team of individuals with intellectual disabilities. The movie is set to hit the theatres on June 20, 2025.

Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par trailer has similarities with the Champions movie available on Prime Video and JioHotstar and netizens have pointed out identical scenes. A frame-by-frame comparison posted on Reddit highlights the similarities, with one user commenting, "Even that tubelight falling scene and almost every gag is from the original. I was assuming mamu will put some spin on it, but yeh frame-to-frame remake hai. Story 99 percent same lag rahi hai."
