Abhishek Bachchan has always been under public scrutiny, whether for his work or personal life. Lately, he has been in the news due to speculation surrounding his relationship with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Several reports have hinted at trouble in their marital life. Some of Aishwarya's recent appearances have further fueled these rumours. However, the couple's recent public appearances together have offered subtle responses through actions, not words. Amid the divorce rumours, Abhishek, who rarely speaks about his family, has finally broken his silence on the matter.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is currently gearing up for the release of Kaalidhar Laapata, addressed the most-talked-about topic of his and Aishwarya's relationship. In a conversation with ETimes, the actor opened up about how such misinformation affects not only him but his family. He said, "Previously, things that were said about me didn’t affect me. Today, I have a family, and it’s very upsetting. Even if I clarify something, people will turn it around. Because negative news sells. You’re not me. You don’t live my life. You’re not answerable to the people that I’m answerable to."

Reacting to trolls and their impact, the actor continued, “They need to deal with their conscience and answer to their maker. See, it’s not just me. I don’t get affected. I know what the rigmarole of this place is. There are families involved."

Recollecting an old incident involving his friend Sikandar Kher, Abhishek Bachchan shared how once a troll made a nasty comment about him, Sikandar Kher was left hurt and offended. Abhishek continued, "It is very easy to write nasty things anonymously sitting behind the computer screen. But do you realize that you are hurting someone? No matter
how strong someone is, such things do have an impact. Just think, if someone does this to you, how would you feel?"

Challenging haters to speak up on his face instead of online trolling, he added, “If you’re going to say it on the internet, I dare you to come say it to me on my face. That person clearly will never have the guts to come and tell me this on my face. If someone comes and tells me things on my face, then I will feel they have conviction. I will respect that."
