Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan’s playful exchange about Aishwarya Rai during the rapid-fire round on Koffee with Karan has recently resurfaced online. The hilarious moment, taken from Season 6, Episode 14, features the siblings teasing each other while discussing Abhishek’s personal life. Hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar, Koffee with Karan is a widely popular Indian talk show known for its glitzy set and candid celebrity conversations. Since its debut in 2004, the show has become a cultural phenomenon, celebrated for its witty banter, gossip, and revealing confessions from Bollywood’s biggest stars. In Koffee with Karan’s viral video, Karan Johar asks Abhishek, "Who are you more scared of, your wife or your mother?" Abhishek replies, "My mother." However, Shweta interjects, "Wife," prompting Abhishek to tell her, "It’s my rapid fire, be quiet." The clip has brought attention to Abhishek's personal life, including his marriage to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The couple tied the knot on April 20, 2007, in an intimate ceremony at the Bachchan residence in Juhu, Mumbai. They welcomed their daughter Aaradhya in 2011. But recently, rumours sparked regarding the split between the couple.

Although amidst rumours of a split, the couple had made a few joint appearances together in the last few months. In April, Aishwarya attended her cousin wedding in Pune and was accompanied by her husband Abhishek Bachchan and daughter Aaradhya. Several pictures and videos from the wedding went viral on social media. A new video surfaced online in which Aishwarya and Abhishek can be seen dancing their heart out to the song Kajra Re from their movie Bunty Aur Babli. 

On the other hand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been making headlines recently for her stunning appearances at the Cannes 2025 Film Festival. Aishwarya Rai looked regal in a white saree with gold detailing during her first appearance on the red carpet. For her second appearance, she opted for a stunning black gown, exuding elegance and sophistication. Her presence on the red carpet has been a highlight of the festival, with fans and media alike praising her timeless beauty and style. On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was last seen in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan: II. She reprised her role of Nandini in the second instalment of the Tamil movie. 

Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan has been busy with his upcoming project, Raja Shivaji, directed by Riteish Deshmukh. The first look of the film was unveiled on May 21, followed by the release date announcement. The movie boasts an ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, and Amole Gupte. Genelia Deshmukh, who is co-producing the film, is also part of the star-studded cast. The movie is set to release on Maharashtra Day next year, May 1, 2026.
