Aditya Narayan was one of the most popular hosts of the Television reality shows, especially he rose to fame after hosting Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. But it wasn’t the first time he appeared before the screens; he made his acting debut as a child artist in Aamir Khan’s 1995 movie Rangeela, then he continued Pardes (1997) and Salman Khan starrer Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai (1998). In a recent interview, the actor stated that he became a taxpayer when he was 7. He also revealed earnings as a host on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

In a conversation with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa for their YouTube channel, Bharti TV. Aditya Narayan said, “I had to go through three rounds of auditions before being selected as host. They offered me Rs 7,500 per episode. Since we shot two episodes at once, I earned Rs 15,000 a day. I went crazy! I was living with my father, had no expenses, and suddenly I was spending Rs 75,000 every month. We did about 5-6 episodes per month.”

Narayan also talked about the sudden fame and money changed his mind. He added, “I was just 18, earning so much. I did about 52 episodes and made around Rs 8 lakh in a season. Bharti Singh then made a joke that in today’s time he wouldn’t host a single episode for that amount. Aditya then shared that he did not save any money at that time. However, when his fees increased to Rs 25,000 per episode, then he realised that it’s important to save. He also recalled that there was a funny ‘competition’ between him and his father, Udit Narayan, “I was hosting on Zee while he was judging on Sony.”

Aditya Narayan also recalled paying tax at the age of 7. He added, “I paid my first tax at seven. I don’t remember if I even had a PAN card, but I definitely remember paying taxes.” The host further stated that he was paid Rs 3.5 lakhs for his role in Salman Khan and Twinkle Khanna starrer Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai. He added, “This was around 1996–97, and it was a lot of money back then. My parents even bought a yellow Zen car with that money though I always thought the car looked constipated.”

Aditya Narayan made his debut as the lead actor in the 2010 movie Shaapit. He hosted several Television shows including Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009, X Factor, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs. Recently, he hosted Indian Idol 15. He is currently seen as a contestant on Rise And Fall.
