Following the success of Saiyaara, director Mohit Suri is gearing up for a new project. His upcoming film, which is still in its initial stage, has been surrounded by rumours suggesting that Mohit would reunite with his Aashiqui 2 actor Aditya Roy Kapur. This was later followed by reports that Aditya had opted out of the film. The actor recently reacted to these rumours, stating that he only meets Mohit on the cricket field, not for a film. Now, Mohit has addressed the speculation, revealing that he is not writing the script for Aditya.
Mohit Suri Reacts To Aashiqui 2 Reunion Rumours
In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Mohit opened up about his upcoming project backed by Yash Raj Films. He also addressed the reports about his reunion with Aditya. The director said, “I meet Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shaad Randhawa to play cricket. We hang out together.”
Mohit added, "Aditya is a close friend of mine, but we haven't met for work at all. The script that I am working on is not even ready, and no discussions have happened on the same. The script that I am writing isn't for Aditya. I will reveal everything once my script and cast is in place."
Laughing off the reports, Aditya stated, “The only place Mohit and I have been meeting is on the cricket field, where I’ve been getting him clean bowled! So, no role is going to be coming my way from there. The news of me opting out of his film is totally false.”
