Oh My God 2, featuring Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the lead roles, was one of the biggest hits of 2023. The film was highly appreciated for talking about an important yet sensitive topic, which is sex education. Amit Rai’s directorial Oh My God 2 was well received by the audience. Now Rai is coming back with another movie with an extraordinary title, Oh My Dog. Yes, as per a report by Pinkvilla, Amit Rai is planning to make Oh My Dog with a unique concept and a fresh star cast.

As the name itself suggests, the film will revolve around Dogs and their bond with Kids. The report suggests that it will be shot with a fresh cast and 90 per cent of the movie has already been shot. According to the report, Pankaj Tripathi, who was part of Oh My God 2, is expected to make a cameo appearance in Oh My Dog. With this news, the excitement level of the fans and audience would definitely increase.

Coming back to an update on Oh My God 3, a source told Pinkvilla, “Amit Rai had multiple ideas for OMG 3 (Oh My God 3), and he discussed all the plot points with Akshay Kumar throughout the stay. The duo brainstormed on all the ideas and also discussed possible new routes that could be taken in OMG 3. The intent is to continue with the most loved franchise, and take the third part on floors in 2026.” The source further told the portal that Akshay and Amit jammed very well over the weekend and now the actor is eagerly waiting for the draft of the movie.

Talking about OMG 2, the plot revolves around a lord shiva devotee, who leads a normal life with his family. But his life takes a drastic turn when his son is expelled from the school after his embarrassing video goes viral. He then takes it to the court to bring justice to his child and ask the court to give a judgment on behalf to implement sex education in the school syllabus. The movie also features Anvesha Vij, Aarush Varma, Vedika Nawani and Shruti Gholap in key roles. Made on a budget of Rs 50 crore but OMG 2 gained Rs 221.08 crore at the box office. 

Now, fans have to wait a little more for Oh My God 3 and Oh My Dog as the release date has not been announced yet. Till then, you can watch Oh My God 2 on Netflix.
