Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur were recently spotted promoting their upcoming movie Son Of Sardaar 2 on Archana Puran Singh’s YouTube channel. Her husband Parmeet Sethi and sons Ayushmann and Aaryamann also accompanied her during the chat session. The actors talked about several topics, ranging from learning skills as an insider to how outsiders are misguided during their initial stage.
Archana Puran Singh asked the Singham star whether he has learned his skills from his father Veeru Devgn, who was an action choreographer, to which the actor said, “Whatever I’ve learnt technically and about the industry is all because of him. The kind of dedication he had and what he taught me…the honesty towards work, all of it comes from him.”
The veteran actress added to Ajay Devgn’s statement and said that this is the reason why people prefer insiders to work with. “You know, this is one of the reasons that the film industry prefers people to come in from film families because they already learn professional ethics from their parents.” Ajay agreed and added, “You get to learn a lot.”
Ajay Devgn continued to shed light on outsiders’ initial stages and said they are generally misguided about how things function in the industry. “I am not talking about everybody because there are sensible people, but a lot of times, they come in not knowing if they want to be an actor or a star. You cannot be a star on day one; first, you need to be an actor. So, I think there’s a misunderstanding somewhere for people; they are misguided about the industry…those from outside film families. I think ultimately, it’s your hard work,” he expressed.
Further during the interview, Parmeet Sethi asked Ajay Devgn whether there is any movie that he regrets doing. The actor candidly revealed that there are several films. He even mentioned that sometimes, you get to know on the very first day of the shoot that this film is not going to work.
