Son Of Sardaar 2 Vs Dhadak 2: Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur's Son Of Sardaar 2 has been creating a buzz since the release of its trailer and songs. Amid the excitement for the movie, the release date has become the topic of discussion. Initially slated for a July 25 release, it now has a new date; it will hit the theatres on August 1. Due to the new release date, Ajay starrer will clash with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s Dhadak 2 at the box office. Amid this news, there were rumours about Dhadak 2 being delayed, but makers released a statement confirming that the film's release remains unchanged and will premiere on the same date.

Son Of Sardaar 2 Vs Dhadak 2 Clash

Both films are sequels to successful predecessors, Son Of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2, will hit theatres on August 1. After JioStudios announced the new release date, Dhadak 2, which is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, confirmed that it's sticking to its original release plan.

In a statment by Dhadak 2 team, that stated, “Dhadak 2 stays rock solid on its original release plan- 1st August. The team is going ahead confidently, riding on strong early reactions to the lead pairing of Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri."

About Son Of Sardaar 2

Directed by Vijay Kumar Arora, Son Of Sardaar 2, a family comedy drama stars Ajay Devgn as Jaswinder Singh Randhawa aka Jassi alongside Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Mrunal Thakur, Neeru Bajwa, Chunky Panday, Kubbra Sait, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Roshni Walia, Sharat Saxena, Sahil Mehta, and the late Mukul Dev in key roles. Presented by Jio Studios and Devgn Films, and produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande. About Dhadak 2: Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and it is a remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. This film is a spiritual successor to 2018's Dhadak, which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in the leading roles. The movie performed well at the box office. A story of two law students from different backgrounds who fall madly in love with each other but soon face opposition from society due to being from different castes. Apart from their romance, the film also shows the characters' personal struggles.

Both Son of Sardar 2 and Dhadak 2 are different in genre and have distinct target audiences.
