Akhanda 2 New Release Date Out: Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally confirmed the release date of his upcoming Telugu movie Akhanda 2. The Telugu movie, which was originally scheduled to arrive in cinemas on December 5, was unexpectedly postponed just hours before its premiere. After a week of uncertainty, the makers have now announced that the highly awaited sequel will release worldwide on December 5, with paid premieres on December 11.

Nandamuri Balakrishna revealed the new date of Akhanda 2 on his Instagram handle late on Tuesday. Sharing a fresh poster, the caption of the post read, “All set for the Divine Destruction at the box office. Feel the Massive ive power of Akhanda 2 in theatres from December 12, with grand premieres on December 11. Bookings open soon!” The sudden postponement last week left fans shocked. In a statement issued at the time, 14 Reels Plus apologised to audiences and explained that despite their best efforts, unforeseen issues had forced the delay. Although the team did not disclose the exact reason then, the matter is now clearer.

Akhanda 2 Postponement Reason Revealed

Meanwhile, the Telugu movie’s release was temporarily stopped due to an ongoing legal dispute involving Eros International Media Limited and 14 Reels Entertainment Private Limited. Eros approached the Madras High Court regarding unpaid arbitration dues of around Rs 28 crore, pending for nearly eleven years. This led to a court order preventing Akhanda 2 from releasing as planned. The issue has since been resolved and the clearance reportedly came just a day ago, allowing the makers to finally set a new date.
