Housefull 5, which stars Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh and Abhishek Bachchan, is set for June 6, 2025. The film, which was directed by Tarun Mansukhani, features a stellar ensemble and revolves around a murder mystery involving 14 suspects on a cruise ship.

Housefull 5 centres on three young men who each contend they are the legitimate heirs to Papa Ranjith's $69 billion inheritance is also hinted at in the Housefull 5 teaser. The trailer's remarkable resemblance to the 1989 Malayalam movie Lal Americayil has been noticed by social media users. They also noticed similarities to the 1969 Hindi movie Waris.

Lal Americayil

Lal Americayil, starring Mohanlal and Prem Nazir, tells the story of Ravi Varma, a wealthy father who immigrated to America and misses his son Babu, who died when he was five years old. With his friends' assistance, Ravi poses as dead and places a newspaper ad seeking his long-lost son.

Three guys who identify themselves as Babu, Mohanlal, Cochin Haneefa, and Jagathy Sreekumar appear shortly after. Curiously, all three of them pass the exams that Ravi's friends, who are now unsure of Babu's true identity, give them. Waris

Jeetendra, Hema Malini, Mehmood, and Prem Chopra played the main parts in Ramanna's 1969 film Waris. It was about a king searching for his throne heir, a son who had gone missing. The situation changes when four men show up claiming to be his kid, rather than just one or two. Waris may be viewed for free on YouTube. It was a remake of Ramanna's own Tamil movie Naan from 1967.
