Alia Bhatt is producing a coming-of-age romance comedy on Prime Video will have will star outsiders. The actor is backing the project as a producer under the name Eternal Sunshine Production with her sister Shaheen Bhatt. The project features four new actors. During the  Prime Video 20206 slate reveal, she revealed that she intends to introduce fresh faces rather than estabilished actors.

Alia Bhatt's Don't Be Shy was announced on Thursday at the event, hosted by Karan Johar. Karan Johar had a lighthearted conversation with her as soon as she stepped onto the platform. The filmmaker said, "You've truly mastered the art of being a season producer already, Alia, because your answers seem beautifully independent of my questions for some reason."

Alia Bhatt responded, "Yes, Karan, because there is a way to launch actors." He then quipped - "And clearly I wouldn't know that, would I? I've never done something like that." She acknowledged launching outsiders under her production label, and Karan Johar told her he was proud of her.

About Don't Be Shy

Speaking of Don't Be Shy, the movie centered on 20-year-old Shyamili 'Shy' Das, who believed she has everything figured out until her well-planned life takes an unexpected turn and things start to get out of control. Chalkboard Entertainment and Eternal Sunshine Productions are producing the movie together. Vikesh Bhutani and Grishma Shah will co-produce the movie. Sehaj Kaur Maini wrote additional screenplay and dialogue.

Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Alpha, the first female-led action movie in the YRF spy world. The movie also stars Sharvari Wagh and Bobby Deol. It was rescheduled from its initial December 25, 2025, date to April 2026. The movie has been rescheduled for July 10, 2026 due to Dhurandhar: The Revenge's extraordinary box office success.

Alia Bhatt is also working on Love and War, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Vicky Kaushal and Ranbir Kapoor play the male leads in the romantic drama.
