Aneet Padda found herself thrust into a whirlwind of overnight fame and immense public attention after the release of her romantic drama Saiyaara alongside Ahaan Panday. The kind of success that many only dream of suddenly came running, making her a household name almost instantly. However, behind the glossy magazine covers and viral social media posts, Aneet Padda was fighting a silent and invisible battle. Before her big break, she struggled with severe anxiety, pressure, depression and persistent doubts about her career. Her success was built on a foundation of quiet struggles and uncertainty, a reality she recently chose to share with the world.

Aneet Padda recently opened up about her journey of entering Bollywood and before that. During a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actress revealed, “For three years before this film, I just had terrible anxiety and depression. I had gone to Delhi to study, not fully being sure if I’d make it anywhere in the industry at all. I’ll be very honest; I started enjoying (acting) with this film."

Talking about her candidness, the actress shared, “I want to prove to myself that I can do what I dream of. The fear and doubt are there, but they don’t mean I can’t. There’s always doubt in my head… but even with fear and doubt, I can still do it. Those things will always be there, but they’re no reason to stop."

At such a young age, the actress showed an understanding of herself and expressed that she is a cheesy person. Aneet Padda candidly said, “I’m just too cheesy as a person. The world could use more of it. Live, love, laugh. People roll their eyes, I know that. But tell me, why is it cringe? For real though, just live, love and laugh.” In an industry where everybody likes to be uptight and polished, Aneet Padda’s honesty cuts through the nose.

Before her breakthrough role in Saiyaara, Aneet Padda built her career through a series of foundational works. She first gained visibility in several television and digital advertisements for major brands like Nescafé, Cadbury and Paytm. In 2022, she made her film debut with a small but noteworthy role in Revathi's drama Salaam Venky, starring alongside Kajol. She also appeared in 2024’s Amazon Prime Video series Big Girls Don't Cry. In 2024, she also showcased her musical talent by writing, composing and singing the original song Masoom.
