Ankit Gupta is one of the most loved faces from the Indian television industry. He has managed to create a huge fan base with his good looks and solid aura. He rose to stardom after portraying the role of Fateh from the TV show Udaariyaan. Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey produced the show and bonded well with the actor. When Fateh’s character was dropped from the show, Sargun casted Ankit in another serial called Junooniyatt.

Ankit Gupta was recently seen in Farah Khan’s vlog, where he opened up about doing Bigg Boss 16 and also made a shocking revelation about his mental health. During the vlog, Farah asked Ankit about his cooking skills and his experience in the Bigg Boss house. The actor candidly revealed that there was a gap of 3-4 months for the shooting of Junooniyatt to begin. The makers must have thought that he would join another show during the buffer time, hence he was asked to join the reality show Bigg Boss 16. He was given three options - Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Bigg Boss 16 and Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Ankit Gupta said, "Mai Bigg Boss gaya nahi bheja gaya tha. The day I finished Udaariyaan, the very same meeting, I signed Junnoniyat. Uss time sirf muje naam pata tha. Usko shuru hone mai 3-4 mahine the. Unko laga shayad ye 4 mahine ka gap hai ye kahi aur jaa sakta hai."

The TV star also mentioned his recent hospitalisation due to a gastric and panic attack. He is now following a dietary regimen and working towards improving his health. On being asked about his symptoms, he said, “Breathlessness, palpitation hoti hai. BP shoot up ho jaata hai. Feels like saans kabhi bhi band ho jaayegi (There is breathlessness, heart palpitations, and blood pressure increases. It feels like the breathing could stop any moment.)”

Professionally, Ankit Gupta was last seen in the show Maati Se Bandhi Dor. He was also in the news for unfollowing his rumoured ex-girlfriend Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, who was his Bigg Boss 16 co-contestant as well. The duo started generating dating rumours after their close chemistry was seen in the show.
