Avatar: The Way of Water received an overwhelming response at the time of its release in December 2022 in India. The movie became the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India, surpassing Avengers: Endgame, and received praise across the nation. 3D technology, breathtaking visuals and emotionally resonant themes of family attracted the Indian audience towards the second instalment of the franchise. James Cameron’s Avatar series’ third instalment, Avatar: Fire and Ash, is all set to enter the cinema halls this year in December. But before that, the makers have a special surprise for the fanbase.

Avatar: The Way of Water, which is the second instalment in the series, is all set to re-release in Indian theatres before Avatar: Fire and Ash comes out. The 20th Century Studios took it to their official Instagram account to share the great news with their fans. They uploaded the poster of the sequel and captioned it, “Avatar: The Way of Water is back on the big screen starting October 3rd for one week only. Experience it in 3D.” As soon as the poster dropped, several netizens filled the comments sections and expressed their excitement towards the re-release of the movie.
