Baaghi 4 Vs The Bengal Files: Tiger Shroff is back with the fourth instalment of the Baaghi franchise, while Vivek Agnihotri returns with the third instalment of ‘The Files’ franchise. Both movies have created much hype on social media since their announcements. Adding to the excitement among the fans, Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files faced a massive box office clash today in theatres. Both the films have been receiving positive responses from the audience so far on X. Interstingly, despite being a mass action film, Baaghi 4 has taken the lead in terms of opening days box office prediction while the controversial film The Bengal Files Lagging behind with huge numbers as of now. But there is still uncertainity as the box office game might flip anytime.

Baaghi 4 is a mass action movie, which depicts the life of a tragic lover who takes revenge for the death of his girlfriend. Plagued by grief and guilt, he goes to extreme lengths to find the killer of his lover. The movie features Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Sonam Bajwa and Harnaaz Sandhu in pivotal roles. The film has been directed by A. Harsha and backed by Sajid Nadiadwala. As per reports by Koimoi, the film is expected to make between Rs 9 to 11 crores on opening day.

The Bengal Files

The Bengal Files is a political drama that showcases the violence spread during the time of the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings in nearby places like Bengal Presidency, including the Noakhali riots of 1946 and incidents in Tipperah and Comilla. It shows the communal outrage that shaped Indian’s path to Independence and partition. Vivek Agnihotri’s film features Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, Simrat Kaur, Anupam Kher and Namashi Chakraborty in key roles. The film has been receiving positive reviews from the audience so far on X. As per industry trackers, the political drama is set to have a collection between Rs 1 to 2 crore.

    Harnaaz Sandhu, who made her acting debut with Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4, said, "Shooting for 'Marjaana' was one of the most emotionally demanding experiences I've had so far. Unlike the other songs in Baaghi 4, this one wasn't about dance or glamour, it was about stillness, about silence, about letting the ache show in my eyes." 

    She added, "There was a lot to learn and explore as I was embodying Alisha both as a memory and a woman going through a trial. It is thrilling to experience how powerful cinema can be while depicting the tough moments of life. Marjaana gave me space to be vulnerable, and I hope that honesty connects with the audience the way it connected with me while shooting."

    The Bengal Files Gets No Shows In Kolkata Despite No Ban?

    Vivek Agnihotri's directorial The Bengal Files released worlwide today. The film, which attracted controversy over its alleged portrayal of the 1946 Calcutta riot, has not been screened in any major theatres in Kolkata. As per reports, the ticket booking platform BookMyShow is not showing option to book a ticket. 

    Talking about this matter, Director of Navina Cinema, Navin Choukhani told NDTV that they have prior commitment with Baaghi 4. He further mentioned that bengali film Dhumketu is already performing well for them. 

    Likewise, Arijit Dutta of Priya Cinema stated that they can't run several films in single screen and will run Baaghi 4 along with two bengali films. 

    Last Month, the Bengal Government suggested a new rule where all theatres should screen atleast one film everyday.
