Akshay Kumar is happy for his ‘favourite heroine’ Katrina Kaif after learning that she is expecting her first child with Vicky Kaushal. The superstar showered his love for the to-be parents and made a special request to them. While showering them with love and blessings, Akshay asked the two to teach English and Punjabi to their children. In the comment section of Katrina and Vicky’s pregnancy reveal post, Akshay shared a heartfelt note.

Akshay Kumar wrote, “So totally happy for you Katrina and Vicky. Knowing you, I can say that you two will make the best parents,” Akshay wrote. His message didn’t end there as he continued, “Bas baby ko English aur Punjabi equally sikhaana (Teach your kid English and Punjabi please) ;) Lots of love and blessings. Jai Mahadev.”

The comment came a few days after Akshay called Katrina is his favourite heroine. While appearing on an episode of Aap Ki Adalat, Akshay then said, “Meri favourite heroine… actually maine sabhi ke saath kaam kiya hua hain (I have worked with everyone in the industry). (pauses) Katrina (Kaif).”

Both Katrina Kaif and Akshay Kumar appeared in eight movies like Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006), Namastey London (2007), Welcome (2007), Singh Is Kinng (2008), Blue (2009), De Dana Dan (2009), Tees Maar Khan (2010) and Sooryavanshi (2021). All the movies were loved by the audience and created a havoc at the box office as well.

Vicky and Katrina announced their pregnancy on September 23 and ended the speculations around it. The couple shared a black and white Polaroid photo in which Katrina can be seen flaunting a big baby bump while Vicky's head affectionately rests against hers. In a collaboration post, Katrina wrote, “On our way to start the best chapter of our lives with hearts full of joy and gratitude.”

Years after dating, Vicky and Katrina got hitched in a royal wedding at the Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan in 2021. The couple have never starred together in a movie.
