Thalapathy Vijay's family was seen in a cheerful mood as the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) was about to become the biggest party in Tamil Nadu. They were celebrating by blowing whistles and dancing to the winning trends. For the past thirty years, Vijay had hoped to 'do something for Tamil Nadu', according to his father SA Chandrasekhar, who had assisted in kickstarting his son's career as a child artist in the 1980s.

Vijay's father and mother reacted to the most recent counting trends and TVK's rise to the top in an interview with news agency ANI. "She is not only his mother. She is the first fan of Vijay. She is so happy," SA Chandrasekhar said.

Vijay's father went on to say that his son had not experienced any self-doubt during the campaign. "In the last 30 years, he had been thinking that he had to do something for society, for the Tamil people. It was there in his mind. Slowly, he has developed these things. Today, he is going to be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu."

According to Vijay's father, Tamil people love his son as a part of their own families rather than only as a political figure. Young people relate to him as a brother, women regard him as their own son, and many fondly refer to him as 'anna'. He is frequently seen as a son by elderly women, and some even consider him to be a grandson. He claims that Vijay has developed a strong emotional and personal connection with the audience that transcends politics.

The actor-turned-politician is expected to bring about 'big change' in the state, according to Vijay's father.
