Yash starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has been creating a buzz, especially for its cast. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film also stars Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and others. Actor Gulshan Devaiah was also initially part of the project, but he walked out midway due to several reasons. The actor recently shared his experience of working in Yash's multi-starrer, citing professional misconduct and claiming that he was not paid. He also revealed that he carefully perused the contract before exiting the project to ensure he couldn't be sued.
Why Gulshan Devaiah Walked Out Of Yash’s Toxic?
Gulshan Devaiah opened up about why he backed out and left the project midway, even after signing on for Toxic movie. In a recent conversation with SCREEN, the actor revealed, "They did offer me Toxic a long time ago. It just didn’t work out for a variety of reasons, mostly scheduling. They didn’t pay me and behaved very badly with my manager."
He also shared how he reviewed his contract before making this decision. Gulshan added, “So, I checked the lapse date in my contract and realised they can’t sue me."

The film would have marked the reunion of Gulshan and Rukmini Vasanth, as both previously appeared in pivotal roles in the blockbuster Kannada hit film Kantara: Chapter 1.
Meanwhile, the makers of Toxic are set to release the film's teaser on Yash's birthday on 8 January, as announced through a new poster.

The upcoming film is touted to be one of the high-octane action thrillers, featuring a technical team that includes National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi, Hollywood action director JJ Perry (John Wick) and the National Award-winning stunt duo Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Geetu Mohandas's directorial is set for a Pan India release on March 19, 2026, in Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Yash starrer will face a major box office clash with two big releases on March 19, including Dacoit and Dhurandhar 2.
