Bigg Boss 19: Ashnoor Kaur’s journey on Bigg Boss 19 has been far from easy in the past few weeks. The young actress has repeatedly faced criticism from host Salman Khan during Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, mainly for allegedly affecting Abhishek Bajaj’s game. Things took a more serious turn last week when music composer Amaal Malik’s controversial comment led Ashnoor to stop a task midway and demand that Bigg Boss show her a video for clarification. This act angered Salman, who strongly reprimanded her on national television.

 Ashnoor Kaur’s parents, in an interview with Telly Talk India, shared their disappointment with the superstar’s behaviour. Her father said, “Salman is Salman, and he has every right to his opinion. But Ashnoor’s fans know exactly who she is, and so do the people at Colors. If someone asks me who Ashnoor is, I’ll say she’s my daughter and that’s all the introduction she needs.” During that heated episode, Salman questioned Ashnoor’s presence in the show, asking, “Kaun ho aap?”. His remark did not sit well with Ashnoor’s parents, who have now spoken out in her defence.

Furthermore, Ashnoor’s mother revealed how emotionally draining it has been to watch her daughter go through tough times on the show. She said tearfully, “I think that was the third time I cried so much. It had happened a couple of times before too, but my husband used to tell me that Ashnoor is a strong girl. I used to tell him not to come near me because I couldn’t even speak. That episode was very disturbing for me.” Despite the criticism, Ashnoor has earned praise from fans for handling the situation with calmness and maturity. Many viewers expressed their disappointment online, saying Salman’s comments were too harsh.

On the other hand, the conversation also touched on Ashnoor’s growing friendship with Abhishek Bajaj inside the house. The duo has been fondly nicknamed “Abhinoor” by fans, who love their bond. However, Abhishek’s personal life outside the house,including his estranged relationship with ex-wife Akanksha Jindal, who accused him of cheating has drawn unwanted attention.

When asked about the rumours, Ashnoor’s mother said, “Whenever I see them together, it feels like a very cute and organic friendship. They look lovely together, and they always stand up for each other. Everyone needs friends in life, and Ashnoor is very selective about who she connects with. Her vibe matches with people like Pranit, Abhishek, and Gaurav. There’s nothing wrong with that.” She added, “In a house like Bigg Boss, if you’re alone, you can easily feel depressed. It’s important to have friends who support you, and we’re happy she’s found people she connects with.”
