Bipasha Basu on marriage and motherhood: Mesmerising and talented actress Bipasha Basu met the love of her life, Karan Singh Grover, on the sets of their film ‘Alone’ in 2015. The hot pairing of the two spread a frenzy among the fans as they started speculating about their relationship status. In 2016, the couple got married and made it official. Bipasha embraced her motherhood after giving birth to her first daughter, Devi in 2022. The actress was last seen in 2015 and since then, has taken a well-planned break. In 2020, she appeared in a short web series called Dangerous consisting of seven episodes, which aired on Amazon MX Player.
Bipasha Basu in an interview with Bombay Times mentioned that the actual reason for staying away from movies was to pause a bit and enjoy her life. The actress started working from a very young age and decided it was important to take out time for herself. The actress said, "When I got married, I definitely consciously stepped back. I wanted to enjoy the perks of all that I had worked hard for. Then the three years went by so fast - being in love and settling down, it was great. I don't regret any of it.”
The bold actress also shared her take on motherhood. “Then the decision of wanting to become a mother - was a little difficult for me. I had to make some strong decisions, and it took me some time to do that. I had a baby and now I don't want to miss out on any time with my baby," she added. Bipasha also mentioned that after the birth of Devi, she and Karan made it a point that one of the parents always stays with Devi so that she never goes unattended. "So, we make sure that one parent is always there with her, and we just don't leave her to anybody. The family has to be there always with her," she told Zoom.
