Meanwhile, reports have emerged regarding her older brother, Kim Jung-hoon, who was allegedly arrested in April. The claims involve inappropriate physical contact with a female streamer. While police sought a detention warrant, it was reportedly denied by prosecutors. Amid this controversy, many fans wondered if the controversy was affecting Jisoo’s work or her agency, Blissoo.

Blackpink’s Jisoo’s Agency Denies Any Connection To Alleged Brother’s Legal Case

To address the rumours, Jisoo’s legal team from the firm Kim & Chang released a strong statement stating, “Neither the artist nor Blissoo has any connection with the issue currently being raised. The artist did receive limited assistance from family members during the preparation process for establishing Blissoo, such as conveying messages and facilitating communication with relevant parties.”

Additionally, her legal team further clarified, “However, no family members have received compensation from Blissoo or participated in its decision-making, either then or now. Since its establishment, the company has been operated entirely independently, with no involvement from the artist’s family.”

Jisoo's Brother's Name Removed From Netflix 'Boyfriend On Demand' Credits 

Meanwhile, pictures went viral showing that a name matching her brother's had been removed from the show's credits of Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand, which Jisoo stars in. Previously, he was reportedly listed as the head of management. 

The production team of Boyfriend on Demand claimed this was a coincidence and not related to the arrest. They explained, “Shortly after the release in early March, we confirmed that there was an error in the actor management credit due to a mistake by the production company. The issue was immediately corrected.”

Jisoo, who has been a solo artist since her contract with YG Entertainment ended in 2023, is continuing with her professional schedule. Her team has warned that they will take legal action against anyone spreading false stories about her connection to the case.
