Coolie vs War 2 Box Office Day 19: Rajinikanth’s Coolie and Jr NTR–Hrithik Roshan starrer War 2 continue their box office clash as both movies enter their third week in cinemas. After delivering record-breaking numbers in its opening week, Coolie has now started to slow down at the domestic box office. On Day 19, which fell on Monday, September 2, the film recorded its lowest earnings. However, despite the weekday dip, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial Coolie has managed to be one of the biggest Tamil movies of 2025. On the other hand, War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji is witnessing a major dip at the box office.
Coolie’s Day 19 Box Office Collection
On its 19th day, Coolie earned an estimated Rs1.10 crore nett, according to Sacnilk marking the lowest single-day figure since its release on August 14. The film’s Day 18 numbers had been stronger at Rs 3.1 crore, with Rs 2.1 crore from the Tamil version, Rs50 lakh from Hindi, Rs 45 lakh from Telugu, and Rs 5 lakh from Kannada markets. By Day 19, its overall domestic nett collections stood at Rs 280.20 crore. The film’s second-week total had reached Rs 41.85 crore, with Tamil contributing Rs 24.2 crore, Hindi Rs 9.4 crore, Telugu Rs 7.55 crore, and Kannada Rs 70 lakh. Despite the decline in India, Coolie has shown impressive strength overseas, grossing Rs 177.15 crore outside the country. War 2 Box Office Day 19 Update
Meanwhile, War 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, has had a mixed third week. On Day 19, the film collected around Rs 0.60 crore nett in India, with the Hindi version leading at Rs 0.32 crore, followed by Rs 0.27 crore from Telugu and a minimal Rs 0.01 crore from Tamil. This marked a steep 58% drop from its Sunday earnings. With this, the Jr NTR–Hrithik Roshan spy action drama has managed a total of Rs 235.1 crore nett in India. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, is packed with high-octane action and international locations, featuring Hrithik Roshan reprising his role as Kabir and Jr NTR as a rival spy. Kiara Advani joins the cast as the female lead, while Anil Kapoor and Ashutosh Rana play key supporting roles.
On the other hand, despite the Monday slowdown, Rajinikanth’s Coolie continues to edge past War 2 in terms of both domestic and global box office earnings. Furthermore, in terms of worldwide business, Coolie clearly leads, establishing Rajinikanth’s dominance yet again at the box office.
