Bridgerton renewed for Season 5 and 6: Netflix has renewed the hit series Bridgerton for two more seasons, before the series' Season 4 premieres in 2026. The show, which is based on the best-selling novels by Julia Quinn, continues to be produced under the Shondaland banner. The announcement was made in classic Bridgerton fashion in a letter signed from Lady Whistledown, posted to the series' official Instagram account.
The letter, penned by Lady Whistledown, read, "Rarely is this author granted the opportunity to share with you such information... It is with great pleasure I can announce Bridgerton shall return for Seasons 5 and 6. Do celebrate accordingly. And in the meantime, do prepare yourselves, for Bridgerton Season 4 shall debut in 2026." The letter ended with the words, "It would seem this author is going to be quite busy."

Bridgerton Season 4 is set to premiere in 2026 and revolves around the life of Benedict Bridgerton, the second-oldest brother in the family, portrayed by Luke Thompson. The new season consists of eight episodes and will see the return of familiar faces including Jonathan Bailey, Simone Ashley, Nicola Coughlan, and Luke Newton.
The series will continue to be directed by Jess Brownell and Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers, Tom Verica, and Chris Van Dusen as executive producers. The cast includes Luke Thompson and Yerin Ha as Benedict Bridgerton and his love interest Sophie Baek, respectively. The new season 4 promises a romantic storyline between Benedict and Sophie, with a promo clip from next season showing Benedict setting eyes on Sophie at a masquerade ball. It's apparently love at first masked sight.

With two more seasons in the pipeline, the Bridgerton series is here to enchant audiences for years to come. The series has turned out to be one of Netflix's greatest hits, known for its lavish visuals, diverse casting, and romantic plotlines. The rest of the Bridgerton siblings left to tell their love stories after Benedict are Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie), Francesca (Hannah Dodd), Gregory (Will Tilston), and Hyacinth (Florence Hunt). The series has covered three books so far, and five more are to come.
