BTS continues to show why it is one of the biggest musical acts in the world. On July 18, the group released its first official live album titled Permission To Dance On Stage. In just 24 hours, the album collected a massive 14.5 million streams on Spotify. This made it the biggest debut for a live album in the platform’s history. With this, BTS broke the previous record set by Beyonce’s Homecoming, which had debuted with 8.8 million streams. The album was a heartfelt gift to BTS fans, lovingly known as ARMY.
Meanwhile, Permission To Dance On Stage brings together some of BTS most exciting and powerful performances from its 2021–2022 world tour of the same name. The live album features 22 tracks, including energetic versions of its hit songs like Dynamite, Butter, and Life Goes On. Each performance showcases BTS signature stage presence, passion, and ability to connect with fans across the globe. The album captures the magic of the Kpop band’s concerts and delivers it straight to fans everywhere.
Alongside the album, BTS also dropped a digital concert film titled Permission To Dance On Stage – Seoul. This special feature includes footage from its concert held at Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 13, 2022. Fans get a front-row seat to watch RM, Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook light up the stage in their home country. It’s a chance to relive one of BTS most memorable performances and feel the energy of the crowd.
On the other hand, to make the experience even more special, the release includes a 92-page photobook. Packed with exclusive behind-the-scenes pictures, personal thoughts, and interviews with the members, the photobook gives fans a closer look at the hard work and emotions behind the show. For long-time followers of BTS, it offers a touching journey back to some unforgettable moments.

Furthermore, the timing of these releases adds to the excitement. Earlier in July, all seven BTS members reunited publicly after completing their mandatory military service. On July 1, it surprised fans with a Weverse livestream, where they sat together on a couch and chatted casually. This was an emotional and joyful moment for fans around the world.
During the livestream, BTS confirmed that it is preparing for a big comeback. A brand-new album is set to release in spring 2026, and a world tour will follow.
