Kpop mogul and BTS mastermind Bang Si-hyuk, who is the founder and chairman of Hybe, is under fire. Si-Hyuk is under investigation for allegedly misleading investors before the company's initial public offering (IPO). According to industry sources, the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS), South Korea's financial watchdog, has been probing Bang over suspicions that he intentionally downplayed Hybe's IPO plans to boost investor interest.
The investigation centers around a 2020 deal where Bang reportedly shared a portion of the IPO gains with private equity funds, receiving around 400 billion won ($291.3 million). However, in 2019, Bang allegedly told investors that a stock market listing was unlikely while preparing for the IPO. Hybe debuted on the Korean stock market in October 2020 and recently saw its stock price drop 7.33% to close at 265,000 won.

BTS to reunite in June 2025
BTS is nearing their military discharge. Band members V, Jungkook, Jimin, Suga and RM will be discharged from the military in June 2025, while Jin and Jhope are already out and are pursuing their solo endeavours. The band’s reunion in June is also special because the members will celebrate their 12th debut anniversary, popularly known as BTS’ FESTA.
In an interaction with BTS’ ARMY, Jhope revealed on Weverse, “Most of the members will be discharged by then. I think FESTA will be extremely meaningful this year. It’s our debut day. I think on that day I will be emotional. We planned it this way, and after many discussions, we wanted to do this with many ARMYs. Now we’ll have a FESTA that has Bangtan in it. Finally! It’s a big concert and it’s important to me. I’m going to prepare a lot. It is the final, after all!”
“It’ll be hard to believe, as it’s been so long. Our last activities were in 2022, so three or four years will have passed by the time we reunite. It seems like the fans are eagerly waiting. I am wondering what the energy will be like once we’re back together. What will be different is that we will each have had solo experiences before coming back together as a team. So, I’m looking forward to it,” he further explained.
