BTS Jin shocked ARMY with his latest statement about the hit song Dynamite, which was released by the South Korean boy band. The track came out in 2020 under Big Hit Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment. Dynamite was their first all-English song, which immediately broke records upon its release and is still breaking them. Kim Seok jin, aka Jin, recently appeared on the Netflix show Screwball and opened up about how Dynamite was hugely successful, but it wasn’t the track the BTS members were excited about in the beginning. His comment has left fans divided on the internet.

According to the Koreaboo report, during his appearance on the Netflix show, Screwball, Jin said, "It was never the song that the members favored. We had a scheduled tour, but it got canceled due to the pandemic. We couldn’t just idle, so our agency prepared three demos for us. ‘Dynamite’ was the first one we heard. We asked for alternatives, but we liked the other two less. We weren’t exactly thrilled about it. I guess some other gods looked out for us."

BTS ARMY Reaction To Jin's Revelation About Dynamite Song

After the BTS star's confession, fans were left shocked and shared their opinions on social media.

A X user wrote, "In the year 2025 i never would’ve thought to get info of bts themselves not liking dynamite… CUZ WDYM U DON’T LIKE THAT BANGER ????"

Another X user posted, "But they’ll still be performing it again… lmao it’s lowkey ironic they don’t favor dynamite but that was such a historical song not only for their discography but in the entire music industry."

Another X Post read, "Honestly though when dynamite was released I remember not only was our own fandom arguing about the 100M goal but other fandoms at first didn’t believe it could happen and then remembered seeing with each update they changed their mind and were actually hyping it."

Some users defended Jin's comment. One user commented, "This dynamite discourse is tiring cuz Jin didn’t even say he hated the song he just said the members weren’t sure about it at first. People just ran with it and now the “Dyna was for western market” arguments are back when bts really just wanted to cheer up people during covid."
