The upcoming romantic drama Chand Mera Dil starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya and directed and produced by Vivek Soni and Karan Johar has finally received clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). However, the makers had to make several changes in the film before getting approval. After the required edits, the movie was awarded a U/A 16+ certificate. The film is now all set for its theatrical release on May 22.
Chand Mera Dil Receives U/A 16+ Certificate
The filmmakers completed all CBFC requirements to certify their film. As per reports, the board asked filmmakers to make minor changes in certain scenes. Once the modifications were made, Chand Mera Dil got a U/A 16+ certificate.
The total runtime of the movie is 135.36 minutes, which is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes long. The board also instructed the makers to submit consent documents for all child artists appearing in the film.

Kissing Scenes Removed From Film Chand Mera Dil
One of the biggest changes suggested by the CBFC involved the film’s kissing scenes. The board reportedly asked the makers to remove 1 minute and 26 seconds of intimate visuals from the movie.
Following these instructions, the filmmakers reduced around 96 seconds from the final cut. Only after these edits did the film receive official approval for release in theatres.

Chand Mera Dil Release Date
Directed by Vivek Soni, the movie has been produced under Dharma Productions by Karan Johar. The songs from the film have already become popular among audiences. Singer Faheem Abdullah, known for Saiyaara, has lent his voice to the soundtrack.
The romantic drama featuring Ananya Panday and Lakshya will be released in cinemas on May 22.
