The Battle of Galwan is based on actual events that took place in June 2020, when Chinese and Indian troops engaged in combat in the isolated, high-altitude Galwan Valley of Ladakh. Constrained by long-standing accords that forbade firearms, the altercation became one of the worst border clashes in more than four decades. The Indian Army displayed incredible bravery by fighting hand-to-hand with improvised weapons like twigs and stones in the face of overwhelming odds and harsh circumstances.

Battle of Galwan is expected to be one of the year's most anticipated movies due to its intriguing subject matter and innovative casting. With Chitrangda Singh joining the ensemble and Salman Khan headlining the cast, expectations are extremely high. It is planned to start filming later this year.
