Coolie The Powerhouse: Superstar Rajinikanth is back with full force for his much-anticipated action entertainer Coolie. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the Tamil movie is set to hit theaters on 14th August 2025. The filmmakers have finally made the announcement for the Hindi title of the movie that was previously thought to be Majdoor. With an audacious cast, gripping storyline, and pulsating music, this Tamil movie is shaping up to be one of the biggest releases of the year.

Tamil movie Coolie makers Sun Pictures took to their X and unveiled a fiery poster featuring Rajinikanth in his fierce avatar and reveled the Hindi title. The caption read, “Deva’s rage begins in 50 days! #CoolieIn50Days. #Coolie in Hindi is now #CoolieThePowerhouse.” The Hindi version of Coolie is named as Coolie: The Powerhouse. The movie brings together a powerhouse ensemble including Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, and Monisha Blessy.

Telugu Version Of Coolie Movie

In the meantime, the Telugu distribution rights were purchased for an outrageous Rs 46 crore, according to the report in India Glitz. Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemahasve purchased the rights along with producers Dil Raju and Suresh Babu, with Narang securing the majority of the deal. The team of Kuberaa was initially not in the original bidding war, but they eventually won with a higher bid than the other two teams. Additionally, OTT Play revealed that the film’s overseas rights were sold for a staggering Rs 84 crore.

Coolie New Song Chikitu

On the other hand, the makers released Coolie's first track, Chikitu, on YouTube recently, creating massive buzz. The energetic number features the 74-year-old Rajinikanth dancing with youthful enthusiasm and irresistible charisma. The Tamil movie marks Rajinikanth’s 171st cinematic venture, and his magnetic screen presence continues to mesmerise audiences. Produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner, the film also features a special cameo by Aamir Khan, fresh off Sitaare Zameen Par.
