Dashavatar Box Office Collection Day 6: The Marathi movie Dashavatar, led by veteran actor Dilip Prabhavalkar, has been performing steadily at the box office since its release on 12th September 2025. Despite being made on a modest budget, the film has managed to draw audiences with its gripping storyline and powerful performances. The movie started off on a fair note with around Rs 50–60 lakh on Day 1, but business picked up strongly over the weekend. Saturday brought in over Rs 1.2–1.4 crore, while Sunday saw the best figures yet, crossing the Rs 2.25–2.40 crore mark. By the end of the first weekend, the film had already collected close to Rs 4 crore net.

On weekdays, Dashavatar continued to show resilience. Monday collections stood at around Rs 90 lakh–Rs 1.1 crore, which was an expected drop after the weekend, but the film bounced back on Tuesday with approximately Rs 1.15–1.3 crore. Wednesday, the sixth day, saw another steady hold, with collections estimated at Rs 1.10–1.35 crore. This takes the total net collection in India to somewhere between Rs 7.15 crore and Rs 8.15 crore, depending on different trade reports. The film is now expected to close its first week at around Rs 8–8.5 crore. Looking at the current trend, industry experts believe Dashavatar will cross the Rs 10 crore net milestone by the end of its second weekend, a huge achievement for a Marathi film that released with limited hype.

Meanwhile, the strong weekday performance has given the Marathi film industry a much-needed boost. The last clean hit from the industry was Jarann in June 2025. With Dashavatar now on track to become another success story, it signals renewed confidence in regional cinema. The film’s occupancy on Wednesday was nearly 30%, with late-night shows recording almost 50% turnout, showing that word-of-mouth is working in its favour.

On the other hand, audiences and critics have praised the film’s unique mix of suspense, drama, and cultural depth. Dilip Prabhavalkar plays Babuli Mestri, a traditional Dashavatari folk theatre performer from the Konkan region, who is determined to keep his art form alive. His powerful performance, backed by a strong supporting cast including Mahesh Manjrekar, Siddharth Menon, Bharat Jadhav, Abhinav Berde, and Priyadarshini Indalkar, has received wide appreciation. The story has been described as both thrilling and emotionally engaging, while the film’s visuals and music also add to its appeal. Viewers have connected with the film not only for its mystery but also for its deep-rooted cultural elements.

Directed by Subodh Khanolkar, Dashavatar is expected to continue its steady run at the box office. If the film maintains momentum into its second week, it could even aim higher than the Rs 10 crore mark. With positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth, it is likely to attract more audiences beyond Marathi-speaking viewers in the coming days. For the Marathi industry, this success story is a sign that quality content, backed by strong performances, can still pull crowds to the cinema even without big budgets or heavy promotions. Dashavatar is now well on its way to being remembered as one of the year’s biggest Marathi hits.
