Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed the New Year in New York and wrapped 2025 on a celebratory note. The couple who are in the city for vacation paid a special visit to celebrity chef Vikas Khanna’s restaurant, making it a memorable moment for fans as they celebrated the success of Ranveer’s film Dhurandhar with an Indian sweet. Deepika made her first modak with Chef Vikas, while Ranveer joined in to celebrate the film’s milestone.
Taking to Instagram, Vikas Khanna shared a video from his restaurant, Bungalow, adorned with flowers as he welcomed Ranveer and Deepika to celebrate New Year's Eve and ring in 2026 in style. The video shows Deepika learning how to prepare modaks under the chef’s guidance and trying her hand at shaping the sweet while Ranveer watches her closely. The chef is also seen feeding Modaks to Ranveer and Deepika to celebrate Dhurandhar's success, with the film's title track playing in the background.

Sharing the moment with DeepVeer, Vikas on Instagram wrote, "This has to be the most blessed end to 2025 — a new beginning in honor of India. Team Bungalow had the privilege of celebrating with Ranveer & Deepika her first modak. All our guests walking into Bungalow today will enjoy pomegranate & cardamom modaks for an auspicious beginning to 2026. Celebrating DHURANDHAR — standing taller than any film in the world."
The chef also added, "Standing in front of my parents wedding picture and creating modaks from the molds I just got from Siddhivinayak Temple…..I’m truly humbled."
Ranveer and Deepika have been enjoying a family vacation in New York while celebrating the blockbuster success of Dhurandhar, which continues to dominate the box office since its release on December 5. Before wrapping up 2025, Deepika also ticked off a bucket list by attending the Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her friend Sneha Ramachander.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranveer is gearing up for Dhurandhar 2, which is slated for release on March 19, 2026. The first part of the spy action movie, directed by Aditya Dhar, has earned a total of Rs 722.75 crore at the box office. The film features Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian agent who infiltrates the gang of Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna, in Lyari, Pakistan, for a covert mission. Besides them, Dhurandhar also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Sara Arjun, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan and others.
Deepika, on the other hand, will be seen in King, starring Shah Rukh Khan and also has Atlee’s much-anticipated film alongside Allu Arjun.
