After nearly a decade away from the big screen, Imran Khan is finally gearing up for his much-awaited Bollywood comeback. His return project, starring opposite Bhumi Pednekar, has been generating buzz since it was first announced earlier this year. Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor back in action, and now, there’s some exciting progress. The film is said to be directed by Danish Aslam, a close friend of Imran Khan, marking a reunion between the two after years. Titled Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, the movie is expected to be a romantic comedy.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the film’s post-production is currently underway after wrapping up its shoot in August 2025. Reports reveal that the first edit is expected to be locked by December this year, setting the stage for an early 2026 release. While the makers are aiming for a release next year, the final date is yet to be confirmed. The report stated, “The film is in post-production now, and the edit should be locked by December. However, the release schedule will depend on Netflix. The team is waiting for the platform to finalise a date, and things usually take time as multiple levels of approvals are involved.”

Meanwhile, the Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na actor’s comeback has been highly anticipated, especially as the actor has remained away from the limelight since his last appearance in Katti Batti (2015), co-starring Kangana Ranaut. Over the years, fans have continued to express their longing for his return through social media campaigns and nostalgic posts celebrating his rom-com legacy. Known for his effortless charm and relatable on-screen presence, the Break Ke Baad actor became one of Bollywood’s most adored romantic heroes of the late 2000s and early 2010s, with memorable performances in films such as I Hate Luv Storys, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and Delhi Belly.
