Dhurandhar 2 will once again be directed by Aditya Dhar and will carry forward the high-stakes narrative inspired by real-life geopolitical events that formed the backbone of the first film. Drawing from major incidents such as the 1999 IC-814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, the sequel is expected to delve deeper into the shadowy world of intelligence and counter-terrorism.

This time, the story will reportedly focus on the backstory of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza, tracing his origins in Lyari and charting the final phases of his covert mission against terrorism. Alongside Ranveer, the film also features a powerful supporting cast including Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Rakesh Bedi and others, adding further depth and intensity to the narrative.
