Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 8: It has been just eight days since Dhurandhar arrived in cinemas, and the Aditya Dhar directorial has already achieved a major milestone. The spy thriller crossed the Rs 200 crore mark within its first week, cementing its position as one of the fastest films of Ranveer Singh’s career to do so. With strong word of mouth, packed theatres and growing anticipation for its sequel, the film is showing no signs of slowing down. By the end of Day 8, Dhurandhar had collected approximately Rs 239.25 crore at the domestic box office, putting it well on track to breach the Rs 250 crore mark in the coming days.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar earned around Rs 32 crore on Day 8 (Friday), registering an impressive growth of nearly 18.5 per cent compared to the previous day. With this, the film’s total net collection in India stands at Rs 239.25 crore. The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 45.81 per cent on Friday. Morning shows started slow with 19.64 per cent occupancy, but footfall steadily improved through the day. Afternoon shows saw 37.37 per cent occupancy, evening shows climbed to 53.08 per cent, while night shows peaked at a strong 73.16 per cent.
With these numbers, Dhurandhar is all set to become one of the highest-grossing films of Ranveer Singh’s career. The film has already surpassed the lifetime collections of Bajirao Mastani (Rs 184.3 crore) and Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 153.55 crore). It is now on the verge of overtaking Simmba, which earned Rs 240.3 crore during its theatrical run. While Padmaavat remains Ranveer’s biggest grosser with Rs 302.15 crore, Dhurandhar is steadily closing the gap and could soon emerge as his second-highest or even highest-grossing film if the momentum continues.
About Dhurandhar: Story, Cast And Part 2 Release
Dhurandhar is a hard-hitting espionage thriller set against real political and historical events. Ranveer Singh plays Hamza Ali, an undercover RAW agent tasked with infiltrating Karachi’s dangerous underworld following the 1999 Kandahar hijack and the 2001 Parliament attack. The narrative also references the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, using real audio recordings to underline the emotional gravity of the tragedy. Hamza’s mission brings him face-to-face with gangster Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna, while he also clashes with Pakistani ISI officer Major Iqbal (Arjun Rampal) and police officer Aslam (Sanjay Dutt). R Madhavan plays Ajay Sanyal, the Intelligence Chief supporting Hamza’s covert operations.

Directed, written and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar has been praised for its intense performances, gripping action and politically charged storytelling. With Dhurandhar Part 2 already announced for a March 19, 2026 theatrical release and a Netflix premiere planned after its cinema run, the franchise appears poised for even bigger success ahead.
