Television actress Dipika Kakar, best known for her roles in popular shows like Sasural Simar Ka and Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum, recently made her first public appearance after undergoing surgery for stage 2 liver cancer. Over the years, Dipika has earned a special place in the hearts of audiences with her versatile acting and warm personality. She also won Bigg Boss 12, further showcasing her strength and resilience. Now, she is facing one of the biggest challenges of her life — a battle with cancer — and has once again shown incredible courage and grace.
Dipika appeared in her husband Shoaib Ibrahim’s latest YouTube vlog, where she updated fans on her health and expressed deep gratitude for all the love and prayers she has received. In the video, Dipika looked calm and positive as she shared that she is feeling much better and recovering well after a major surgery. She said, “Bas iss waqt itna hi bolungi — aap logon ne bohot duaein ki hain, uske liye dil se thank you.” She shared how touched she was by the support not just from fans, but also from hospital staff, nurses, and even other patients’ family members. “Unke apne bachhe, father hain, lekin phir bhi woh mere liye dua kar rahe the,” she added emotionally.
Dipika was diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer after suffering from severe stomach pain. Doctors discovered a tumour in her liver that was reportedly the size of a tennis ball. She underwent a long and critical 14-hour surgery on June 6. Shoaib Ibrahim, who stood by her throughout, described it as “the toughest phase” of their lives in an earlier vlog. Yet, he remained hopeful and strong, constantly updating fans with the latest news and thanking them for their support.

After spending three days in the ICU, Dipika was finally moved to a regular room. Shoaib shared this positive update, saying, “Tomorrow is Eid Al Adha and today on such an auspicious day Dipika is out of the ICU. I am really grateful that she is with us.” He also shared encouraging news about her scan reports, which showed that the cancer had not spread beyond the tumour. “Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah… once the tumour is surgically removed, Inshallah, things will get better,” he added.
