Shoaib Ibrahim talked about his wife Dipika Kakar, who recently had a 14-hour operation to treat stage 2 liver cancer, and shared a video. Shoaib revealed on his YouTube account that Dipika was discharged from the intensive care unit and was recuperating at the hospital in his seven minute long video.

Shoaib Ibrahim told his fans and followers that doctors operated on Dipika Kakar's liver, cutting a very tiny piece due to the tumour. "She will stay here for three to five days, as advised by doctors. The surgery was major...She was in OT for 14 hours. Woh bahut hi mushkil ek waqt tha (It was a difficult time)."

Shoaib Ibrahim further added, "Jo bhi uska tumour tha woh bahut hi acche se bahar agayi hai. Gall bladder bhi uska nikala hai kyuki us mein stone tha. Kyuki liver mein tumour tha toh liver ka kuch portion, kuch per cent, woh bhi cut kiya hai uske saath. Us mein koi stress waali baat nahi hai kyuki liver ek aisa organ hai jo khud ko regenerate karta hai (Her tumour was taken out nicely. The gall bladder was also taken out after surgery because of a stone. Because the liver had a tumour, some portion, a small percentage of it, was also cut. There is nothing to stress about it since the liver is an organ that regenerates itself)."

Shoaib Ibrahim disclosed that he remained with Dipika Kakar till 8.30 AM, at which point her surgery started. At 11.30 PM, she was transferred to the intensive care unit. Despite the doctors' promises that the procedure would take time, the actor said that he and his family started to feel anxious around 6-7 PM.

The well-known TV actor disclosed that even though Dipika's stitches hurt, her condition is getting better. After three days on a liquid diet, she resumed her regular diet. Shoaib reports that Dipika's blood results are okay and that she has started to walk.

Shoaib Ibrahim mentioned that his little son Ruhaan was separated from Dipika Kakar for three days. He sobbed on the final day and was taken to the hospital to meet her. He went home after hanging out with his mother.
