Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar underwent liver cancer surgery, stage 2, in May this year. She had a 14-hour-long operation where her tumour was removed. Recently, her husband, Shoaib Ibrahim, revealed that Dipika underwent a mammography test and the actress shared the reason behind this. The actress also stated that she has been unwell for the past few months. Shoaib accompanied her for the mammography test, which happened on July 15. When the two were sitting inside the car, the actress started sharing her health update from January this year.

Dipika was shooting for MasterChef when she felt the pain in her left shoulder. During that time, they could not figure out what happened, but later learned that it was due to the enlargement of the lymph nodes. She revealed that it was developing the condition in her left breast. When the second diagnosis happened, it was found that the actress had an injury to the muscle.

Dipika added, “Phir uske baad abhi Dr Somnath ne bataya ki woh pain essi wajah se hoh sakta hai. Mere surgery ko almost 1.5 months hoh gaya hai. woh pain ab tak wapas nai aaya hai. Esliye uss waqt jab humne mammography ki thi aur lymph nodes thei toh tab Dr Shweta ne kaha tha ki waise mujhe kuch kharab nai lag raha hai but ek safe side ke liye hum essei teen mahine mei repeat karenge. Teen mahine ke jagah zyada hoh gaya tha because of all this. Just as a safety precaution, Dr Shweta said Let's just do it again.”

“Phir suddenly maine Ruhaan ko wean off kia, bhale maine tablets wagera li thi milk ko suppress karne ke liye lekin halka sa uss din maine feel kia thoda sa pain hora hai toh ekdum se aise lagta hai ki koi bhi risk nai lena hai. Pehle hi jake karwa lo aise bhi time ho hi raha tha toh Shoaib ne bola ki nothing doing chalte hai aur mamography karate hai,” she added.

She also said, “There is always a good reason for everything. When we found out that my tumour was second-stage cancer, I was still feeding him. But then weaning off was good because I was relieved to know that he didn’t have to be fed what I was supposed to have, like medications.”
