Don 3, the much-awaited third installment in the Don franchise, is now finally moving closer towards production. The third sequel signifies a new generation for the franchise, with Shah Rukh Khan being replaced by Ranveer Singh in the titular role. The fans are looking forward to seeing Ranveer infuse his own personality into the character. The movie’s announcement video with Ranveer Singh was released in 2023, generating significant buzz.
Don 3 was supposed to go on floors last year, but went on to face multiple delays due to a variety of reasons. According to News 18, Farhan Akhtar is wrapping up his ongoing project, 120 Bahadur, and Ranveer Singh has finished a considerable amount of shooting for Dhurandar. This has forced Don 3 to get underway in September, with Ranveer Singh and Vikrant Massey playing the lead roles.

On the other hand, Vikrant Massey has been cast as the main antagonist in the movie Don 3, marking his first on-screen confrontation with Ranveer Singh. Their previous collaborations include Dil Dhadakne Do and Lootera, but this time, they'll be locking horns in a thrilling action-packed narrative.Vikrant's portrayal is expected to surprise fans, showcasing a brand new avatar.
Meanwhile, Sharvari Wagh and Kriti Sanon are in contention for the female lead role after Kiara Advani opted out because of her pregnancy. The final decision remains pending. The makers might reveal more details about the casting in the coming months. With Don 3's production schedule confirmed, Vikrant Massey is set to start shooting for Dostana 2 next year. Earlier, his schedule for Karan Johar's movie was dependent on Don 3's production timeline.
