Drishyam 3 Release Update: Mohanlal’s much-anticipated Malayalam movie Drishyam 3 has been creating strong excitement among fans for a long time. The Malayalam crime drama, directed by Jeethu Joseph, is the third instalment of the hugely successful Drishyam franchise. After weeks of speculation, the filmmaker has finally confirmed when audiences can expect the film to hit theatres.

During the launch of a hospital event held on January 6, 2026, Jeethu Joseph officially revealed that Drishyam 3 will release in cinemas in the first week of April 2026. He added that the formal announcement with an exact date will be made soon. The film has already completed its shooting, further raising anticipation among fans of the franchise. Speaking about the release at an event, Jeethu Joseph shared, "Drishyam is a movie that has influenced lots of people. I still bear the impact of it. So, without too many expectations, you may watch the movie in the first week of April in the theatres. The release date will be officially announced soon. Meanwhile, another movie 'Valathuvashathe Kallan' would be released on January 30. I am confident that it would be a good movie."

Meanwhile, introducing Drishyam 3 earlier, Jeethu Joseph had given a brief idea about the storyline. The film is set around four and a half years after the events of Drishyam 2 and will explore what happens next in Georgekutty’s life. The director assured fans that the third part will maintain the suspense, emotions and gripping storytelling that made the first two films so popular. Interestingly, the Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 will release months before its Hindi remake. Ajay Devgn’s Hindi adaptation is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026. This confirms that the original version starring Mohanlal will once again set the tone for the franchise.
